Chicago Code Camp is dedicated to providing an harassment-free conference experience for all our attendees, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, financial status, hair amount (or hair color), platform preference, or text editor of choice. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the code camp at the discretion of the organizers.
The organizers of Chicago Code Camp believe that adults are intelligent enough that they can self-monitor themselves for an entire day while in close proximity with other human beings. And such, we are not inclined to tell adults how to behave themselves.
However, in rare cases event of non-normal professional behavior is encountered or reported to the staff of the code camp, we will take appropriate actions as we deem necessary to ensure the safe, productive, professional environment for everyone at Chicago Code Camp. In simpler words: We do not tolerate harassment at Chicago Code Camp in any form. Please treat your fellow attendees with respect, regardless of the context you’re interacting with each other.
Code Camp participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the code camp at the discretion of the organizers.
For the protection of both attendees and our organization, Chicago Code Camp will never put its staff members in the position of trying to assess whether or not an incident merits escalation. If there is any doubt, we will escalate incidents to the appropriate law enforcement agency immediately.
